WSAA Urban Water Resources Planning Framework

HARC updated the WSAA Urban Water Resources Planning Framework to incorporate the latest understanding of contemporary good practice planning from Australia and New Zealand’s urban water service providers. This included several knowledge gathering workshops with WSAA members, and the development and discussion of various urban water resource planning principles across more than twenty specialist topic areas, such as climate variability, climate change, supply system performance metrics, and dealing with uncertainty in decision-making. The Framework is targeted at urban water resource planners and their government counterparts, complementing existing local guidance, and supporting urban water resource planners who operate in jurisdictions without local guidance. The project also included a review of urban water resource planning guidance available in the United States and the United Kingdom.
