Principal - Water Resources Engineer

Kate is Water Resources Sector Leader at HARC.  She has over 30 years’ experience in hydrology and water resources, particularly in the development and application of water resource (river system) models in REALM and Source.  She has acted as technical adviser and expert reviewer on many water resource modelling projects throughout Australia and internationally.

Through a range of different analyses Kate has provided advice to clients on short and long term water resources planning, supply system optimisation, augmentation and forecasting, urban and rural demand modelling, assessing and managing for the impacts of climate change, development of restriction rules and allocation policies, and delivery of and compliance assessment for environmental flows.

Kate has carried out independent review of a range of major water resource models including those for the Melbourne, Sydney, Geelong, Ballarat, Canberra and Wellington water supply systems.
