Jiajia Huang is a water resources engineer with expertise in reservoir management, climate change adaptation, and decision making under uncertainty.
She completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne, where her research focused on long-term reservoir management under deep uncertainty. Her research combined multi- and many-objective optimization techniques with adaptive and robust planning principles to help decision makers balance competing management objectives, extend the service life of existing infrastructure, support joint operational-infrastructure decision-making, and assess the impacts of key modelling assumptions under uncertainty.
Since joining HARC, Jiajia has been participating in multiple projects in the fields of dam risk and reliability assessment, and hazards risk analysis for critical water infrastructure.
She is experienced in multi- and many-objective optimization, systems modelling and design, robustness and uncertainty analysis, and the application of data-driven artificial intelligence (AI) models.
