Jiajia Huang

Water Resources Engineer

Jiajia Huang is a water resources engineer with expertise in reservoir management, climate change adaptation, and decision making under uncertainty.

She is a PhD candidate at The University of Melbourne, where her research focuses on long-term reservoir management under deep uncertainty. Her work combines multi- and many-objective optimization techniques with adaptive and robust planning principles to help decision makers balance competing management objectives, extend the service life of existing infrastructure, support joint operational-infrastructure decision-making, and assess the impacts of key modelling assumptions under uncertainty.

Jiajia also holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Sun Yat-sen University and a Master of Environmental Engineering from The University of Melbourne. She is experienced in multi- and many-objective optimization, systems modelling and design, robustness and uncertainty analysis, and the application of data-driven artificial intelligence (AI) models.
