Stephanie Kermode

Principal - Water Resources Modelling and Strategy

Stephanie is an environmental scientist with extensive expertise in catchment and river management, policy and strategy. She has specialized in leading catchment and waterways modelling to support the water services sector prior to moving into strategic planning for resilience in water resources management at WaterNSW. She has been involved with a wide-range of analytical methods in her career – both laboratory and modelling based, and an equally broad range of applications. Her interests lie in delivering complex interdisciplinary projects which support environmental management while delivering to the needs of society. She is emerging as a strategist and liaison, who is able to bridge the gap between the strategic and technical and bring together multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality projects.

Stephanie has led the development of strategies, research and models to underpin water resources and environmental management. She has always played an active role in her professional communities, serving on several committees throughout her career. Her established high degree of credibility amongst peers and professional associates enables her to effectively guide, advise and influence. She has also played an advisory role in the development of industry software such as MUSIC X and more recently on the National Hydrological Modelling Strategy and Implementation Plan, advocating for the emerging needs of the sector.
