HARC with support from Brad Neal and the University of Melbourne, reviewed the methods available for estimating the environmental water demands and shortfalls in Victorian rivers. The outcomes informed the approach the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) uses in revisions of the State’s Sustainable Water Strategies, to assess water sharing arrangements between consumptive users and the environment.
