Yanni Wang

Yanni joined HARC in February 2022 as a hydrologist. Since then, she has worked on a range of flood hydrology and dam safety projects, including hydrology and hydraulic modelling, dambreak consequence assessments and dam safety risk assessments. She is proficient in modelling software including RORB, TUFLOW, SWMM, LifeSim, as well as QGIS.
Yanni is also heavily involved in the development of hydro-information systems for flood forecasting and integrated river modelling. She leads the development of RORB, IQQM and REALM model adapters for integration with the Delft-FEWS platform.

Yanni graduated from the University of New South Wales in 2021 with a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with Architecture, and was awarded First Class Honors and the University Medal. She is currently pursuing an online Master of Computer Science at Georgia Institute of Technology, specializing in statistical analysis and machine learning.
