Trying to extract MC hydrographs and when selecting AEP Hydrographs in Monte-Carlo Simulation Details form, the dropdown control is empty.
If you type a hydrograph request like Hyd0010 the program hangs after the simulation runs.

Maybe two problems?? Like to be able to extract MC hydrographs, any ideas in what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks Tony

    Hi Tony,

If the dropdown box is empty, that means there is an issue with the print nodes and for some reason RORB is unable to find the print nodes. You will need to check that you have input print nodes correctly in the desired locations in the catg file. You should not be typing into the dropdown box the hydrograph number.

In terms of the second error, this is an issue where if there are convergence issues with the individual simulations, the hydrograph extractor is unable to deal with this and crashes. Unfortunately, there isn’t a good workaround for this at the moment. If you need the individual simulations, you will need to recreate the storm file based on the Monte Carlo sampled parameters and do a single run. I will put this on the bug list and it will be addressed in the next release of RORB.

    Kind regards,

    Benson

Thanks Benson for the reply. I note that the print nodes need to be in a catg file. Generally I do not use catg files, sorry old school, does this mean it will only work from catg files.

    Regards
    Tony

    Hi Tony,

It should still work with the old cat file. The dropdown box should still pick up the print nodes.

    Kind regards,

    Benson
