    Hi Benson,

Is there a way to automatically update the X and Y co-ordinates of all the nodes within the model? I have been given access to a legacy RORB model that will need to be updated to ARR V4.2 and I would like to apply spatial rainfall via Storm Injector. However, Storm Injector requires real world co-ordinates to sample the required sub areas from the ARR data hub. This particular model has arbitrary coordinates and I am looking for a way to quickly update them if possible.

    Thanks so much,
    Kylee

    Hi Kylee,

There’s no quick way to do this, the UI only lets you drag and drop nodes one at a time (unless you edit the .CATG file directly, e.g. in Notepad++). That said, I’m not sure that’s even the way to get the centroid locations into Storm Injector; the coordinates in a .CATG are stored in screen-space terms (0, 100), so even if you were able to make them resemble the true spatial layout of the catchment the actual number is always going to be between 0 and 100. I haven’t checked where Storm Injector pulls the actual coordinates from, but I would have guessed it needs it in a format separate to the .CATG format – you’ll have to check the Storm Injector documentation for that part though.

    Thanks,
    Matt

Thank you, Matt. I’ll reach out to Catchment Sim for some assistance.

    Best regards,
    Kylee
