HARC was pleased to be invited by Aither to be part of an Australian Water Partnership funded team to travel to Jordan to discuss water reform and water resource planning with the Jordanian Ministry of Water and Irrigation (MWI) and other key stakeholders.  The project followed on from Aithers’ first trip to Jordan in August 2017, where they presented on how their publication WaterGuide (http://www.aither.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/HLPW-WaterGuide.pdf) could be used for water resource planning under water scarcity.  As part of this most recent trip Kate Austin from HARC presented to MWI and stakeholders on Australia’s experience with sustainable yield assessment in the Murray Darling Basin.  She also scoped up parallel pathways to sustainable yield assessment in Jordan and development of a practical planning and allocation tool.
