Burdekin Falls Dam Consequence Assessment

HARC were commissioned to undertake a detailed consequence assessment of Burdekin Falls Dam for input into the Safety Improvements project. The project included hydraulic modelling using TUFLOW model, Potential Loss of Life and economic consequence assessment using HEC-LifeSim, for a range of dam failure scenarios. HARC liaised with the dam operators, the SES and stakeholders such as the Local Disaster Management Group to determine appropriate warning, response and evacuation times.
