Development of stochastic inputs to the Murray Darling Basin southern connected system

NSW Regional Water Strategies

NSW DPIE are modelling the southern connected Murray system to support Regional Water Strategy development.  HARC generated 10,000 years of daily inflow and demand inputs to and ran models of the Snowy, Ovens, Kiewa and Goulburn-Broken-Campaspe-Coliban-Loddon systems for input to the Murray Source model under current climate and climate change.  In the Snowy system, satellite detected snow area data was used to incorporate snowmelt impacts into rainfall‑runoff modelling.
